Yorkseed’s Viral Success at Web Summit Lisbon: A Week of Unmatched Networking and Exclusive Events

Yorkseed made waves at Web Summit Lisbon, hosting a groundbreaking Yorkseed Passport Series that featured six curated events, each tailored to foster high-impact connections between founders, investors, and industry leaders. The series solidified Yorkseed’s reputation as a global leader in the venture ecosystem, providing a platform for meaningful networking, deal-making, and innovation.

November 11: Web Summit Kickoff by 307 Partners

The series began with a high-energy kickoff event hosted in partnership with 307 Partners. This invitation-only gathering brought together over 25 venture funds, angel investors, accelerators, syndicates, and more than 40 top-tier tech founders, creatives, and industry leaders. Demand for the event was overwhelming, with over 500 people on the pending waitlist. The exclusive nature of the event set the tone for an exceptional week of networking and collaboration.

November 12: Exclusive Investor Brunch

In collaboration with AgileGTM Blockchain Fund, Yorkseed co-hosted an intimate investor-only brunch. This pan-European pre-seed VC event focused on B2B blockchain applications and fostered discussions on emerging trends and investment opportunities. The brunch attracted leading investors and entrepreneurs, reinforcing Yorkseed’s role as a bridge between cutting-edge technology and funding.

November 13: Whispers & Ventures – A Yorkseed Speakeasy Soirée

Among the standout events of Web Summit Lisbon, Whispers & Ventures: Yorkseed Speakeasy Soirée emerged as the most sought-after gathering of the week. Hosted at the exclusive Bar Na Colina cocktail bar, this intimate event captured the attention of the venture ecosystem, with over 200 people on the waitlist vying for a spot.

Tailored specifically for founders raising capital in Q1/Q2 2025 and investors actively deploying funds, the soirée provided a perfect blend of exclusivity and purpose. The carefully curated guest list ensured meaningful interactions in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting, where conversations flowed as smoothly as the handcrafted cocktails.

November 14: Web Summit Unplugged with Kantso Agency

This evening celebrated the launch of Kantso Agency with Web Summit Unplugged, where over 70% of attendees were investors. The event facilitated two on-the-spot deal closures, underscoring Yorkseed’s ability to connect key players in the venture ecosystem. The relaxed yet impactful environment made it a night to remember, fostering forward-thinking discussions about the future of tech and innovation.

November 15: Morning Wellness Recharge with Soulinga

The Morning Wellness Recharge with Soulinga capped off the Yorkseed Passport Series at Web Summit Lisbon with a serene and impactful finale. Held at Casa Reia on Caparica’s golden coast, this exclusive event offered founders, VCs, and executives a chance to unwind and connect in a breathtaking setting.

In partnership with MEYA, a music and meditation app, Soulinga delivered immersive sound experiences that encouraged mindfulness and reflection. The rejuvenating session blended conscious wellness with relaxed networking, leaving participants refreshed, inspired, and ready for what’s next.

November 16: A Serendipitous Final Gathering

A last-minute addition to the series became a laid-back, no-agenda evening for Yorkseeders and friends to unwind. We returned to Bar Na Colina, and this casual event offered a perfect antidote to the chaos of Web Summit, showcasing Yorkseed’s ability to pivot and create moments of genuine connection.

The Yorkseed Passport Series became a viral sensation, celebrated as one of the most exclusive and active event series at Web Summit. With strategic collaborations, curated experiences, and an unparalleled ability to connect visionaries, Yorkseed cemented its role as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration.

From fostering closed deals to redefining the networking experience, Yorkseed’s presence at Web Summit Lisbon proved that meaningful relationships and impactful conversations are the key to driving the global venture ecosystem forward.

VNTR Capital Global Investor Summit: A Highlight in Lisbon

On November 13th, I had the pleasure of attending the VNTR Capital Global Investor Summit in Lisbon, a premier event that brought together leading investors, entrepreneurs, and innovators from around the world. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the VNTR Capital team and engage with a vibrant community shaping the future of global venture capital.

As the NYC Chapter Director, it was particularly rewarding to represent our dynamic chapter and exchange ideas with peers and industry leaders. The summit provided a platform to discuss innovative trends, explore new investment opportunities, and strengthen connections between global and local ecosystems.

Our WhatsApp Global hubs are where I will be strictly sharing special events that are happening around the local city related to Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus only.

Our WhatsApp Conference Groups are for conferences goers to share invites, arrange meetups and set meetings specifically for Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus only. We also provide a spreadsheet of non-badge holder master side event list for all conference goers! We believe everyone should have access to all the top notch side events without paying a premium price!

Looking for volunteers to run some of these hubs. What does a local hub volunteer / co-organizer do?

  • Run a YorkseedTM event once a month. It must be Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus. I am open to all sort of events from happy hours to panels, or even demo nights. To make it easier, it can be a co-branded event with another company.

  • Collect mailing list, YorkseedTM database building from all the attendees. Partnership, investor or collaboration opportunities for YS.

  • Feed me any local events you know will be coming up in the local city, and I will include them the newsletter.
