🚀 Yorkseed Newsletter - We’re Back

Hi Yorkseeders,

You may have noticed that we missed a few issues of the Yorkseed newsletter recently.
That pause was intentional.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been going through a restructuring and rebuilding phase, refining how Yorkseed operates and preparing several new initiatives under the Yorkseed umbrella for the year ahead.

Sometimes the most important growth happens quietly. Now we’re ready to share what’s next.

🌐 New Yorkseed Website

We’ve launched an updated Yorkseed website:

The new site reflects how Yorkseed has evolved from a simple SXSW side-event spreadsheet into a global venture ecosystem connecting founders, investors, and operators across more than 50 international hubs and major tech conferences.

On the site you’ll find:

• Yorkseed global hubs and conference communities
• Upcoming gatherings and curated venture events
• Yorkseed Passport Series
• Yorkseed Expert Sessions
• Opportunities to collaborate with the ecosystem

More platform features will continue rolling out throughout the year.

📱 Yorkseed WhatsApp Public Channel

We’ve also launched the Yorkseed public WhatsApp channel, where we share:

• Global tech week updates
• Curated venture events
• Founder and investor opportunities
• Conference ecosystems around the world

This is the fastest way to stay updated as new gatherings and initiatives are announced.

🛍️ Yorkseed Shop is Live

Another small launch: the Yorkseed Shop.

We’ve started releasing a limited set of Yorkseed merchandise for the community — from apparel to small items inspired by the global venture ecosystem we’ve built together.

🚀 What We’re Building This Year

Several new projects are launching under the Yorkseed umbrella in 2026.

Yorkseed Capital
We are developing Yorkseed Capital, focused on selective SPVs that provide curated, deal-by-deal access to early and growth-stage companies. These opportunities will be shared privately with qualified investors across the Yorkseed network.

Yorkseed Insider Investor Circle
Our private Investor Circle continues to grow as a trusted layer for LPs, family offices, venture funds, syndicates, and active capital allocators seeking curated deal flow and meaningful relationships.

Yorkseed Summit
We are preparing the next edition of Yorkseed Summit, a flagship venture gathering designed to bring together founders, investors, and emerging fund managers in a high-signal environment focused on alignment and real conversations.

Membership
Yorkseed is building toward a broader membership layer, described on the site as a global platform organizing capital and opportunity across emerging ecosystems, with access, visibility, and strategic alignment at scale.

Local Hub Directors
Yorkseed currently operates across 50+ global city and conference hubs, and we are looking for local hub directors to help lead and grow the community in key cities.

Hub directors help organize local gatherings, connect founders and investors, and represent Yorkseed within their regional ecosystem.

Yorkseed Summit
As we prepare the upcoming Yorkseed Summit, we are also seeking speakers, sponsors, strategic partners, and media or ecosystem partners interested in collaborating on our flagship global venture gathering.

Monaco F1 Private Capital Opportunity

Yorkseed is currently working with partners on a HNWI private hospitality event during Monaco F1 2026.

The gathering brings together a curated group of family offices, high net worth individuals, luxury brand principals, collectors, and international founders for a series of invitation-only experiences during the race weekend.

🇭🇰 Earlier this year Yorkseed returned to Hong Kong for the Asian Financial Forum (AFF) as an official community partner. This year also marked an important milestone for our ecosystem as we brought our first Yorkseed delegation to AFF and hosted our first Yorkseed events in Hong Kong.

Throughout the week our delegates included founders, investors, family offices and emerging fund managers who participated in meetings and introductions across the forum. Many shared that the AFF matchmaking platform led to meaningful investor conversations and cross border opportunities that continued beyond the conference.

Alongside the forum we hosted two Yorkseed gatherings in Hong Kong. Yorkseed Capital & Cross Border Connections and Yorkseed Insider Investor Circle Hong Kong Edition brought together founders and capital partners in a more focused setting ahead of the week.

Thank you to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) for their support and to everyone who joined us in Hong Kong.

🇸🇪Just a few weeks ago Yorkseed was in Stockholm for Tech Arena, marking our first time participating in the conference and spending time with the Nordic innovation ecosystem.

The Nordics have long been known for building strong companies across deep tech, climate, and health tech, and it was great for our community to spend time with founders, investors, and operators shaping the region. Many of the investors we met during the week are actively deploying capital into European companies, and it was valuable to see how the ecosystem approaches building and investing across sectors that are increasingly global.

During Tech Arena week we also hosted two Yorkseed gatherings in Stockholm.

The first, Yorkseed × ZAGO × Shopify Global Connect: Bridging Ecom Founders & Investors, brought together founders, investors, and ecosystem partners for conversations around scaling companies internationally and connecting global commerce with venture networks.

Later in the week we hosted The Investor Table: VIP Hotpot Night — Yorkseed Investor Circle × ZAGO, a smaller dinner bringing together investors and select founders from our network. The evening created space for deeper conversations around venture opportunities, cross-border collaboration, and capital deployment across markets.

What does a local hub volunteer / co-organizer do?

  • Run a YorkseedTM event once a month. It must be Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus. I am open to all sort of events from happy hours to panels, or even demo nights. To make it easier, it can be a co-branded event with another company.

  • Collect mailing list, YorkseedTM database building from all the attendees. Partnership, investor or collaboration opportunities for YS.

  • Feed me any local events you know will be coming up in the local city, and I will include them the newsletter.

The perks of being a local hub volunteer? You are exposed to high-level individuals, and infinite opportunities will come your way!
