Two weeks ago at SXSW Austin, we did it again—last-minute planning, maximum impact! 🚀

We kicked off the Yorkseed Passport Series with two unforgettable events:

1. Founders & Funders Food Truck Feast - A huge thank-you to our cohost, Joe Valdez—molecular and cell biologist, business leader, and all-around connector—for leading this high-impact evening. Founders, funders, and innovators mingled and exchanged ideas while enjoying bites from Austin’s best food trucks. Nothing beats good conversation over great food!

2. Walk and Talk Edition - Special thanks to Eitan Miller, founder of Boundless Creative, who led an energizing morning walk through downtown Austin. This session brought together some of the top founders, investors, and marketers at SXSW 2025 for conversations on growth, creativity, and collaboration—because some of the best ideas happen on the move.

But that wasn’t all! In true Yorkseed style, we pulled off a Yorkseed House pop-up in just 12 hours! A massive shoutout to Mike White and The Lively Grit Daily House for making it happen and giving us a home base for the day.

And because we never stop at just one highlight, we also assembled a powerhouse Yorkseed Investor Panel in record time. In just 12 hours, we brought together six exceptional investors for an insightful discussion on what it takes to raise capital—and, more importantly, what it takes to build a truly investable company.

These leaders shared unfiltered advice on scaling startups, navigating the investor landscape, and how founders can stand out beyond financial returns. It was an electrifying conversation packed with actionable insights and plenty of “aha” moments.

SXSW Austin 2025 was a whirlwind, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, and made this series a success.

Had the rare opportunity to quickly gather a group of growth-stage AI founders from Yorkseed to present at the NYC Mayor’s Office for International Affairs at the UN Plaza a few days ago! Looking for volunteers to run some of these hubs. What does a local hub volunteer / co-organizer do?

  • Run a YorkseedTM event once a month. It must be Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus. I am open to all sort of events from happy hours to panels, or even demo nights. To make it easier, it can be a co-branded event with another company.

  • Collect mailing list, YorkseedTM database building from all the attendees. Partnership, investor or collaboration opportunities for YS.

  • Feed me any local events you know will be coming up in the local city, and I will include them the newsletter.

The perks of being a local hub volunteer? You are exposed to high-level individuals, and infinite opportunities will come your way!
