Yorkseed's Impactful Start to 2025: A Global Reach in Just Two Weeks

It’s only the second week of January, and Yorkseed is already making significant strides around the world, having hosted four major events across three continents. We’re proud of the early momentum we’ve built, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead. Here’s a quick roundup of our progress so far:

Yorkseed US 🇺🇸 – Conference Hub at CES Las Vegas:

We kicked off the year with the launch of our Passport Series at CES Las Vegas, marking the beginning of a vibrant conference hub. Over the course of the event, we hosted:

  • CES Brews & Breakthroughs featuring Cavaughn J. Noel from Culture Connect

  • The Deal Hour with Albert Ko, sparking insightful conversations about tech innovation and business.

Yorkseed Europe 🇫🇷 – Paris Hub:

In Paris, we co-hosted our first Work & Unwind event, a unique coworking + after-work mixer that brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives in the heart of the 11th arrondissement. This collaborative space, created alongside Andre K of Better City Life Project, offered a perfect blend of productivity and networking.

Yorkseed Lisbon 🇵🇹:

We also held our first local Yorkseed Espresso & Ecosystem: Morning in Lisbon, a community-driven event focused on networking and sparking innovation. The event, powered by Live Brave!, brought together Lisbon's most dynamic creators and entrepreneurs for a coffee-fueled morning of ecosystem-building and collaboration.

Yorkseed Hong Kong 🇭🇰 – This Week:

Currently, I’m attending the Asian Financial Forum (AFF) in Hong Kong as a representative of Yorkseed and a France Mission Leader. I’m joined by Kelly Zhang from Creative Valley and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to engage in meaningful dialogues and promote Yorkseed’s expanding presence in Asia. Be sure to catch us over the next two days with the French Delegation 🇫🇷.

Davos, Switzerland 🇨🇭 – World Economic Forum (WEF):

Yorkseed is gearing up for WEF in Davos, where we have a conference hub and are updating our WEF Master Side Event Spreadsheet. If you’re attending the forum and would like to host a Yorkseed Passport Series, get in touch with us! We’re eager to collaborate and make an impact at this prestigious global event.

Yorkseed Asia Expansion 🌏:

The launch of the Yorkseed Asia Community marks an exciting milestone for Yorkseed’s growth. This new initiative will focus on engaging Asian markets, with Kuala Lumpur joining Hong Kong and Singapore as key hubs in our expanding network. We’re thrilled to deepen our connections in this dynamic region.

Yorkseed Africa Pilot 🇿🇦:

We’re also proud to announce that South Africa will be the first hub for Yorkseed Africa, marking the beginning of our expansion on the African continent.

United States 🇺🇸 – SXSW Austin 2025:

Our flagship U.S. event, SXSW Austin, is just around the corner. If you’re interested in hosting a Yorkseed SXSW Passport Series, getting involved, or sponsoring, don’t hesitate to reach out. This is set to be our biggest and most exciting U.S. event yet!

Special Acknowledgment to Yorkseed LA 🇺🇸 Community:

Our hearts go out to those affected by the recent wildfires in Southern California. The Yorkseed LA community is coming together to offer support, and we encourage anyone in need to share their situation in the group. Together, we’ll help our community heal.

Resources for those impacted:

Available services include:

  • A safe place to sleep

  • Meals, snacks, and water

  • Health services (e.g., first aid, prescription refills, eyeglass replacement)

  • Emotional and spiritual care

  • Disaster recovery caseworkers and more

Our WhatsApp Global hubs are where I will be strictly sharing special events that are happening around the local city related to Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus only.

Our WhatsApp Conference Groups are for conferences goers to share invites, arrange meetups and set meetings specifically for Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus only. We also provide a spreadsheet of non-badge holder master side event list for all conference goers! We believe everyone should have access to all the top notch side events without paying a premium price!

Looking for volunteers to run some of these hubs. Paris, New York City, Austin | San Antonio, Miami, D.C., Los Angeles, Bay Area, Hong Kong, Lisbon, Sydney, Munich, Berlin, Helsinki, London, Singapore, São Paulo, Buenos Aires | Rio, Toronto, Montreal, Dubai, Zurich, Milan, Global Hub (International). Some people already interested in some of them, though I do need more! If you are from a city that is not on the list and are interested in creating a local hub, please reach out to me!

What does a local hub volunteer / co-organizer do?

  • Run a YorkseedTM event once a month. It must be Founders + Investors + Tech Executives focus. I am open to all sort of events from happy hours to panels, or even demo nights. To make it easier, it can be a co-branded event with another company.

  • Collect mailing list, YorkseedTM database building from all the attendees. Partnership, investor or collaboration opportunities for YS.

  • Feed me any local events you know will be coming up in the local city, and I will include them the newsletter.

The perks of being a local hub volunteer? You are exposed to high-level individuals, and infinite opportunities will come your way!
